The more I studied the more I saw a need for clear teaching from a positive Biblical perspective. The internet seemed the best place in which to present my views.

The Title

As you can see I have entitled this website Christians and Solo Sex. I use a number of terms such as masturbation, the M word, solo sex, wanking, jerking off, etc., but when I do so I really mean the act of stimulating oneself to orgasm as a single, solitary sexual activity. The phrase sole sex most accurately describes this. Masturbation, on the other hand, can be done alone, or with a spouse, or our spouse can masturbate or manually stimulate us. I may use the word masturbation more than any other, but unless indicated otherwise, what I really mean when I use the word is Solo Sex.

My Purpose

You should also know that I am not only trying to make the point that masturbation is a good thing, even a gift from God. I am also trying to stimulate thought and discussion on the matter. I do so by looking at it from all angles, and exploring even pushing - the boundaries of what we have traditionally thought to be right and wrong. That is how progress is made.

And I am not saying I am right in all things. I probably am not. At some point it may seem that I have gone too far. And for some perhaps I have. We each need to decide for ourselves before God where to draw the line. Either way, the topic needs some fresh thinking and inspired insight. If I have provoked that, then I will have accomplished my purpose. May God be with us in our journey into truth and freedom.

Technical Stuff

Iconfess that learning how to do a website has involved as much of a steep learning curve as did the study of Solo Sex. I had to learn the basics of XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), make or find a template, choose a name, and find a web provider.

If you are doing something for the glory of God and the furtherance of His Kingdom, it hardly seems right to do a poor job. I decided that if I was going to do it, I would do as good a job as I could. That meant doing it attractively, and up to current web standards. That is why there is an HTML link at the bottom of each page to verify that everything is up to code.

I tried to make my own template but decided I was trying to reinvent the wheel. I found one on the internet that I thought looked attractive, and it was free to boot! With a few adaptations and tweaks I think it works fine.

Then I purchased a domain name and hosting from GoDaddy.com, which I have found very easy reasonable in price in a package with enough storage and bandwidth to meet my needs. I recommend them highly.

For those who are webmasters or have an interest in such things, on some pages I have added embeded video from YouTube. I had a terrible time trying to make those pages Verifiable, that is until I found validifier.com. It has a program that turns flash embed code into valid XHTML in a second.

A Work In Progress

Even though I have spent several years researching and writing this website is still a work in progress. I continue to think, study, pray, and write about self stimulation. And there are more sites to review, more comments to make, and more sex toys to discover and discuss. (Yippee!)

So, thanks for visiting. You might want to check back from time to time to see what is new. And I always appreciate feedback on any aspect of this site.

The adventure continues!

God bless you.

Back | Next

A Theology of Solo Sex

<a href="/index.html" title="Homepage.
